Principals Welcome

Welcome to Clayton South Primary School!

I am extremely proud to be the principal of such a brilliant school.  At Clayton South Primary School we take great pride in providing the highest quality education, care and support for our students and their families.

We are privileged to have high quality teaching staff, complimented by outstanding Education Support staff working with our students.  All students are recognised as individual learners.  Being a small school, we know and understand all our students on an individual basis.  We are able to target the specific needs of our students, including intervention, social and emotional support and learning extension.

Our school offers a comprehensive program for student learning based on the Victorian Curriculum.  Utilising the Science of Learning Principles as our guiding practice, we are seeing positive growth in our student achievement data, student engagement and the transferring of their skills and knowledge into other curriculum areas.  We also offer specialist classes for Visual Arts, Performing Arts, PE and Spanish, with all students participating in these subject lessons each week.

We are fortunate to have an abundance of space to deliver the best programs possible.  We are situated on 3 acres of land with plenty of space for our students to learn and play.  Along with our classrooms, we have withdrawal / breakout rooms, an ICT room, Art room, Multi Purpose Hall, Library, STEAM room and Allied Health space.

We have a supportive school community who take pride in and value our school.  There are many opportunities to be involved in the school through School Council, Parents Club, Fundraising, Assemblies, Working Bees and other special events.  We encourage parents to actively work in partnership with our school and contribute towards the development of their child’s education.

I invite you to look through our website, and to make contact and book in a school tour to see our amazing school in action!
